		WHY
Body modification just like fashion, is a medium of expression of identity. Besides, it is a medium to express individuality and that is exactly what I want to highlight in this project; individuality. Mass production of clothes makes us all look the same. This, without naming the social and ecological consequences of the fashion industry.

		HOW
Having a fascination with practical effects used in (body) horror films, I started experimenting with materials such as latex and silicone rubber. Learning how to make molds and casting parts of the body, I can create fleshy looks on fabric to make later the items.

This website shows an overview of my graduation project and process.

I'm researching about body modifications. Some 'bod mods' like tattoos, piercings, implants, and cosmetic surgeries are accepted by society. When people break with the usual modifications of the body and explore beyond the limits, it generates in others a sensation of monstrosity.

This monstrosity leads me to explore how the human body is understood in horror films. Since I have a fascination with the practical effects of some of these films. I will experiment with material such as latex and silicon rubber to implement it into garments.

		WHAT
I am developing a fashion collection inspired by body modifications and special make-up effects in horror films.

Keywords: non-normative body, individuality, identity,'the Other'

Gooble gobble is a nonsensical phrase that found it's origin in the film "Freaks" (1932)
